Edmonton Chargers
It was a cold and windy evening, just the kind of day that the Edmonton Chargers like… it suites them; they are a running team.
Last spring, the Calgary Colts traveled to Edmonton for an exhibition game, and this time, we returned the favour and the Chargers traveled to Calgary. The Chargers ran the ball well for most of the first half and were the first to score. They executed well, they ran inside and outside with same amount of success, and when their defense was on the field, they made short order of the Colts offense. The Chargers were younger and smaller with only two players in grade 11 but at no time in the game were they outplayed or outmuscled. I was told by the coaches that they were rebuilding well. So far, I think that they have done a great job and should feel very confident for this coming season, in the end the game ended tied with 4 touchdowns a side, in a well evenly matched game with both teams satisfied with what their teams were able to do.
